As we approach November 8, I want to reach back to the earliest days of this Congress to affirm your commitment and support that make our work possible.

Every day of this term, Democrats in Congress have worked with President Biden to meet the urgent needs of the American People. Because of the Republicans’ obstruction, assaults on our freedoms and plans to undermine Social Security benefits, we have known from Day One that we must Hold the House to protect our Democracy. To do so, House Democrats have been preparing to meet this moment with Mobilization, Message and Money.

The urgency of the election and our readiness have attracted a magnificently diverse field of candidates who believe they will win. When the GOP saw the courage and caliber of our candidates, they poured in endless dark special interest money to suffocate the airwaves with their misrepresentations.

As I’ve often said, Democrats don’t have endless money — but we’ve got people — you, our Volunteers in Politics (VIPs) who make everything possible.

I so appreciate all of you who have been working endlessly to get out the vote. Thanks to you, many of the races are within the margin of error and too close to call, and will definitely be determined on the ground by GOTV.

My message today is BELIEVE – to believe that we can and will win and to act upon that belief by going all-out to get out the vote. We must shine a bright light on our values to respect the sanctity of the vote and the safety of voters and election workers. We must all know our power and show our power at the polls to defend our

Democracy, protect our planet and advance our values.
