We're in crunch time here as voters are deciding who the next member of Congress from southwest Oregon will be.

If MAGA Republicans and their big donors get their way, Alek Skarlatos would be our voice in Washington, D.C.

Republicans are absolutely licking their chops at the prospect of turning our corner of Oregon into part of their MAGA empire.

That's offensive. And terrifying. They're putting millions of dollars behind a man:

Who doesn't believe in climate change.

Who doesn't believe there should be a minimum wage.

Who doesn't believe in abortion rights.

I can guarantee you this, John: Alek Skarlatos wouldn't be a courageous, independent voice for our district. He'd be an empty vessel for Donald Trump and Kevin McCarthy's MAGA agenda.

Alek has spent this entire campaign pretending he's anything but a diehard Trump supporter and MAGA Republican. That's interesting, since we know who the REAL Alek Skarlatos is.

Not only is Alek no longer proudly sporting his MAGA gear in public, he's actively trying to rewrite his own history.

This adds one more layer to the Skarlatos story: not only is Alek Skarlatos too extreme for Oregon, he knows it. And he doesn't want voters to know it.

I'm not hiding my beliefs from my community, John, and I never will. I have a track record of fighting for working families, I'm proud of that record, and I'll never lie to get your vote.
