I just received some late-breaking news that will make winning this toss-up Senate race nearly impossible unless we act now, John:

Thanks to Mitch McConnell and his allies pumping $55 million into attack ads against me, our race is now one of the MOST EXPENSIVE in the entire country in terms of ad spending. This means the reporting from election experts at CNN and the New York Times is true — this is going to be the closest Senate race in the entire country.

McConnell and the entire GOP are spending "unprecedented" amounts of money to smear my name because they're desperate to flip the Senate red, and according to Nate Silver’s FiveThirtyEight it’s their best chance to flip the Senate.
