The 5.8 million U.S. jobs created by veteran-owned small businesses are proof of the leadership skills and entrepreneurial spirit gained by those who serve in our nation’s uniform. I'm proud to join with 20 bipartisan colleagues to introduce a bipartisan resolution supporting National Veterans Small Business Week and celebrating the achievements of veteran-owned small businesses across the nation. That’s why Congressman Frank Lucas and I are urging the Biden Administration to take action and strengthen STEM education. Read Our Letter. George Clark served bravely in World War II and the Korean War. After his passing, many of his hard-earned awards were lost. I was honored to work with the Veteran's Administration to present his family with the Purple Heart, Maroon, Green and Red awards at this week’s Brea VFW meeting. I updated Brea City Council this week on local community projects I’ve fought to secure resources for, such as the OC Loop, the North Orange County Public Safety Task Force and the Orange County Intelligence Assessment Center. Thank you for inviting me! Congratulations to Walnut Councilman Bob Pacheco on his retirement after 30 years of public service. I’m honored to call him a friend, and I know his impact will undoubtedly be felt for many years to come. Best wishes for a happy retirement! My team visited the Hope Center in Fullerton to welcome the new hub for Orange County homeless services. The group includes 11 cities that have joined forces to provide services to address homelessness, youth violence and re-entry for formerly incarcerated people. Team Young celebrated the 10 Year Anniversary of Lutin Law Group in Fullerton with the North Orange County Chamber. Ms. Suliana Lutin and her team strive to be personal, accessible and friendly to clients facing hard times. Best wishes for another successful decade! So fun to celebrate Charles' birthday this week! I'm grateful to have him as my life partner and best friend. Casework & Catch Up I’m proud that Team Young has returned $17 million+ back to CA-39 taxpayers and helped 3,500+ constituents receive assistance from federal agencies like the IRS, SBA and the VA.
