Hey there. After canvassing in one of our district’s retirement
communities, I joined MSNBC to talk about some of the things I heard from

At one home, a retired woman asked what I would do to help older Americans
living on a fixed income. I told her we need to protect Social Security
and Medicare, and stand up to big corporations that are making it harder
for older Americans to take care of themselves in their later years
(unlike my opponent who has said he would cut Social Security and
Medicare).

It will come as no surprise that I hear from many voters–of all ages–about
how high prices are affecting them and their families. Let me be clear:
Prices are high because of corporate greed and price gouging. Congress
should have the courage to stand up to them. I’m proud to be leading the
fight to stand up to corporate special interests, and thankful to have
your support so I can continue my work in Congress.
