Friends,

Don’t forget the 350 Fairfax general meeting on Thursday, January 2, at 7:30 pm! This is what’s on the agenda:

  • Learn: Janine Gaspari, Delegate Mark Keam’s legislative aide, will give us the inside scoop on the delegate’s climate policy agenda, which includes both the Solar Freedom Bill and a variety of Green New Deal legislation. Janine can answer all our questions about how best to support strong climate legislation during the 2020 General Assembly session.
  • Discuss: Keam isn’t the only state legislator with a strong environmental agenda this year, and we will spend some time chatting about all the bills 350 Fairfax is watching this January—from our favorite single-use plastic legislation to a host of clean energy and Green New Deal bills. We’ll also talk about important next steps for Fossil Free Fairfax, our campaign calling on the Fairfax Board of Supervisors to commit to 100% renewable energy and a moratorium on new fossil fuel infrastructure.
  • Act: January is always a busy month for lobbying. We’ll have signups to attend in-district legislator events as well as lobby days in Richmond. We’ll also provide opportunities to meet with the new Fairfax County supervisors and to speak before the full board.

RSVP here or on Facebook. You don’t want to miss this meeting!
