With a few days to go until Election Day, I’m reaching out personally to some of our most active supporters who haven’t donated yet. We’ve received a lot of support over the past few weeks, but we’re still not where we’d like to be in order to hit our goals to turn out the Commonwealth’s youth, immigrants, Black, Indigenous, and other people of color to vote.

I know there’s a lot of competition for your support, so if you’re not convinced yet, I’d like to highlight a bit about what makes the New Pennsylvania Project special and why you should consider donating to us.
1. We are knocking doors in the communities we center across Pennsylvania. These are low-propensity voters, many of whom we just registered to vote for the first time this year! These communities do not normally get touched in GOTV efforts from other organizations and groups, or even political parties and campaigns – we are filling this gap as it is part of who we are as an organization.
2. Just recently, one of our Regional Organizing Directors in Delaware County described the excitement from a woman in the city of Chester who had never seen anyone knock on her door and engage her in the political process. NPP registered her to vote and followed up with her to ensure she will be making her voice heard on November 8.
3. This is true community power building, and this is what makes the New Pennsylvania Project stand out.

The New Pennsylvania Project was founded in May 2021 to expand Pennsylvania’s electorate, so it reflects the Commonwealth’s demographically changing population. In the next four years, NPP will engage and empower young residents and those living in under-represented communities of color and immigrant communities. We will register them to vote, provide education about the issues that matter in their neighborhoods, and mobilize people to vote in every election.
