Hi friends,

This morning, the seven youth plaintiffs in Natalie R. v. State of Utah climbed the steps of the Third District Court in Salt Lake City for the first ever hearing in their constitutional climate case. Appearing before the Honorable Robert Faust, attorneys from Our Children’s Trust and local counsel at Deiss Law argued that the state’s motion to dismiss the case should be denied by the court. Read more about this morning’s oral arguments in our press release here.

We expect a ruling from Judge Faust to be issued in the coming days and will be sure to alert our community of climate allies as soon as we hear from the court. In the meantime, join us today for a public solidarity rally - in-person in Salt Lake City or online - to stand with the Utah youth plaintiffs!
