I have some personal advice for this final weekend of the midterm elections, john:

It’s time to go on what I call a polling diet and ignore them .

Every poll has a margin of error of at least a few points. According to FiveThirtyEight , 8 Senate races and 51 House races fall within normal polling errors in favor of either Republicans or Democrats.

That means control of both chambers of Congress is essentially a toss-up.

The bottom line is that this election will come down to turnout — during final early voting dates this weekend and on Election Day this Tuesday, November 8th.

And john, in order to ensure we’re doing everything possible to get Democratic voters off the sidelines and casting their ballots in these critical final days, I’m asking you personally:

Will you pitch in $3 to our campaign right now to help our final get-out-the-vote efforts here in Minnesota and to support my Democratic Senate colleagues across the country? [[link removed]]

There are a ton of polls flying around in these final few days, with many coming from special interest groups and Republican campaigns trying to fire up their base and squash Democratic enthusiasm.

That’s why my best advice is to ignore them — and get out there and organize your community. There’s just no match for voter turnout and a strong network of volunteers making sure their neighbors show up to the polls.

Thanks for adding your support to our final efforts.

All the best,

Tina
