Chairman Kyle Hupfer speaks during the 2022 fall dinner. |
Thank you to everyone that came out to our fall dinner last night. It was a huge success and it's clear that Hoosier Republicans are ready to not only do their part to get our country back on track, but to keep Indiana moving forward.
Although it seems like it's been much longer, it's been just two years since Democrats took complete control of Washington, D.C., and led our country astray. And ever since then, they've done a lot of talking. They talked a lot about things like building back better and inflation. On the latter, they first dismissed it and called it a "high class" problem before claiming that it was they who were taking action to reduce it...just days after saying it was at zero percent.
But here’s the thing, the results simply don't match the rhetoric — the nation’s economy is floundering, supply chains remain broken, and inflation is at a near 40-year high with wages are down, now for 18 months, and violent crime up. But it's not just Washington Democrats who have done a lot of talking; Democrats here in Indiana have done it too.
But maybe the should listen more than they talk, because Hoosiers don’t want Indiana to become another California, New York, or God forbid, Illinois. They don’t want unbalanced budgets, borrowing from schools to keep government going, or soaring debt. Those were the results that Democrats delivered, and we’re never going back!
No, we’re going to continue to move Indiana forward. Governor Holcomb and our Republican supermajorities are going to continue to work hard and deliver results for Hoosiers, not rhetoric. Results like the nation’s only fully-funded, 20-year plan to improve our roads and bridges, all-time records in capital investment, wages, and job commitments, more small businesses opening than ever before, and unprecedented partnerships and investments in quality of life and place.
As Senator Tim Scott stated last night, "Red waves don't happen by themselves; we have to run through the tape and not just to the finish line."
With four days left to go, let's do just that. Enjoy this week's newsletter and share it with a friend. Sincerely,
|

Breaking Ground on a $1.5 Billion Investment in Northwestern Indiana |
|
|
On Thursday, Gov. Eric Holcomb joined Secretary of Commerce Brad Chambers and Israeli officials and executives of Doral Renewables LLC, a leading U.S.-based developer of renewable energy projects backed by Israeli and U.S. investors, today to celebrate the launch of the second phase of the company’s three-phase, 13,000-acre solar farm project, Mammoth Solar, in northwest Indiana. “Clean energy projects like Mammoth Solar will be critical to our energy source portfolio and to powering leading industries like agbiosciences and the advanced manufacturing as we seek to grow and attract them both. We’ll do this as we simultaneously work to increase the quality of life and place in our neighborhoods and communities for years to come.” — Gov. Eric Holcomb Over the next 20 years, the project will deliver $40 million to Pulaski County while reducing property taxes and will contribute approximately $400 million in payroll to the local area workforce. More from Inside Indiana Business:
FRANCESVILLE, Ind. - Israel-based Doral Renewables LLC hosted a ceremonial event Thursday in the Pulaski County town of Francesville to mark the start of construction on the second phase of Mammoth Solar, a $1.5 billion solar farm in northwest Indiana. Mammoth South will be in Pulaski County, while Mammoth North, which is under construction, is entirely in Starke County. The company broke ground on the first of three phases in October 2021 and expects the northern project to be operational in late 2023.

FOX NEWS: 'They don’t have a winning message': Dems spend $320M on abortion ads, 10 times more than on crime, economy |
From Fox News:
After the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade in June, giving the states the authority to place restrictions on abortion, Democrats went all in on the issue and made it a focal point of midterm messaging, despite other pressing voter concerns.
Under President Biden's leadership, inflation hit a 40-year-high, rising to 8.2% in September, and American families have personally felt the pains of rising gas prices, groceries and struggling to make everyday payments as a result of the current economic climate.
Well over 2 million migrants have illegally crossed into the U.S. through the southern border this fiscal year, not including an additional 600,000 gotaways. Additionally, crime spiked across the U.S. in the first six months of 2022, with cities specifically seeing an increase in aggravated assault and robberies, according to a recent report from the Major Cities Chiefs Association.
Despite these issues being detrimental to a majority of voters, Democrats spent $320 million campaigning on abortion this election cycle, while neglecting other pressing issues that are of top importance to voters. According to AdImpact, Democrats only spent $31 million on advertisements addressing inflation and about $140 million on ads regarding crime.

White House Takes Credit for Inflation Crisis |
Earlier this week, the White House Twitter account credited "President Biden's leadership" for the recently announced increase in Social Security payments for 2023. A "context note" was shortly added that said the rise in Social Security payments was "due to the annual cost of living adjustment, which is based on the inflation rate."
The White House deleted the tweet stating that the point it tried to make was "incomplete." Right.
