I’m going to be brutally honest with you, folks: Our email program has been struggling. 

In the past two weeks or so, just about half as many people as usual are opening our emails, let alone donating. 

And I can see why! My inbox is probably just as crowded as yours. Politicians all over the country are working hard to collect the resources needed to win competitive races. And while Republicans can go running to shady special interests or mega-donors with deep pockets, we rely on grassroots teams like this one to power our work. 

I know how frustrating it can be to see those emails pile up, but trust me: we wouldn’t be bothering you if it weren’t vitally important for us all. Results are expected to be very close in races across the country, and every little bit helps. 

So I’m hoping this email didn’t get lost in the tons of other emails in your inbox — and I’m hoping you’ll bear with me while I ask once again. 

(By the way, asking for money is my least favorite part of the job — just ask my team! So you should know I wouldn’t be doing it if it weren’t critical at this moment.)
