Yesterday we announced that former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton and Clinton Foundation Vice Chair Chelsea Clinton will convene national and global leaders, activists, artists, and more for "Women’s Voices, Women’s Votes, Women’s Rights," an international summit exploring the unfinished business of the 21st Century — women’s equality. The Summit, held on December 1-2, will be presented in conjunction with a special exhibition now on display at the Clinton Presidential Center.

In a statement, Secretary Clinton and Chelsea said: “Now more than ever we must roll up our sleeves and continue to do everything we can to defend and advance women’s rights across this country and around the world. It is our hope that the Women’s Voices Summit and Special Exhibit will drive understanding of the history of this fight while bringing together a wide range of voices, perspectives, and solutions to chart the future and accelerate the pace of progress towards equality.”

Special sessions at the summit include:

Women Defending the Vote: A conversation about the ongoing efforts to protect the fundamental right to vote and organize for change.

Women’s Voices on Health: A conversation about the fight for reproductive rights and improving physical and mental health care.

Women in the Workforce: A conversation about enhancing women's success and full participation in the global economy.

Women’s Rights Are Human Rights: The 1995 UN Fourth World Conference on Women in Beijing set a global agenda for advancing women’s rights. This conversation will explore the work by women across the globe who continue to work inside and outside the political system to achieve peace, democracy, and equality.
