Dear neighbor,
The past few years have taught us just how important access to quality, affordable health care coverage can be. This week marked the beginning of the 10th open enrollment season after the Affordable Care Act, which has given more than 35 million Americans access to lifesaving health insurance. Now is the time to sign up for quality, affordable health care coverage through the Affordable Care Act health insurance marketplaces. For Californians, the Covered California open enrollment season began on November 1st. And thanks to the financial help made possible through the American Rescue Plan, and extended through the Inflation Reduction Act, increased financial assistance will be available to consumers throughout 2023.
Nine out of ten people who sign up for health insurance through Covered California receive financial help. To shop and compare plans and find one that works for you and your family, please visit CoveredCA.com or call (800) 300-1506. Eligible enrollees who sign up before December 31st, 2022 will receive coverage starting January 1st, 2023.
