** We Passed a Law To End Daylight Saving Time - So Why Are We 'Falling Back' This Weekend?

Daylight saving time ends at 2 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 6, when our clocks will spring forward an hour — a controversial practice that the U.S. Senate unanimously voted to end in March. This bill, the Sunshine Protection Act, would make daylight saving time (DST) permanent starting Nov. 5, 2023.
The Senate is still waiting for the House to take up the measure in order to end the changing of the clocks altogether. So, why do we still have DST, and why is the Senate pushing to keep it year-round?
