Protecting Your Rights

I’ve heard from folks all across our district. The decision by the Supreme Court to rip away fifty years of reproductive freedom has many of us concerned and enraged. I wanted to update you on the work I’ve been doing to fight back, protect your rights, and enshrine abortion access into federal law. 

Since Roe was overturned, more than a dozen states have moved to ban abortion and Republicans in Congress are pushing legislation to ban abortion nationwide.

To defend your rights, I have voted to pass:
The Women’s Health Protection Act
The Right to Contraception Act
The Ensuring Access to Abortion Act

Medical decisions should be made between women and their doctors, not by politicians.

Simply put: the government has no right to tell a woman what she can do with her body. While Republicans keep fighting to take away your rights, I will keep fighting to defend them.
