This is an incredible moment: Democrats in Southern Brooklyn are running visionary campaigns against Republican opponents who threaten our safety, our rights and our democracy.
Earlier this week, the county party held an exclusive fundraiser with tickets that cost thousands of dollars. But none of that money is going to the Democratic candidates who need their support. The party has spent an obscene amount of money and energy facilitating fraud and fighting common-sense party reforms, but they're missing in action when our future is at stake.
The good news? BYD and our allies have been working for months to knock on doors and mobilize Democratic voters. And we're not stopping now.
Join BYD and our partner clubs at McKinley Park on Saturday at 1:00pm to rally and canvass for two visionary public servants: State Senate candidate Iwen Chu and Assembly Member Mathylde Frontus.
Iwen and Mathylde will fight for more funding for our schools and hospitals; for more affordable housing for our communities; and for the social services and healthcare we need to thrive. But if they lose these races, Democrats risk losing our super-majority in the state legislature, and achieving the better future we're dreaming of could become much harder.
This is it. Early voting is already underway, and Election Day is Tuesday, November 8th. If you've been waiting to get involved, now is the time.
And even if you can't make it out in-person on Saturday, you can still play a part. Sign up to make calls this weekend and next week to let New Yorkers know how important it is to vote!
We can't win this thing without you.
