Friend,
With just four days until Election Day, our team wanted to send you an update on some of the most high-stakes congressional races for the U.S.-Israel relationship.
All across the country, PIA is supporting candidates working tirelessly to advance U.S.-Israel ties. We’re supporting nearly 70 candidates in the general election – but here’s a few we’re paying extra-close attention to as polls open:
|
-
Congresswoman Elaine Luria – Running for re-election in a highly competitive district in Virginia. Rep. Luria has been a strong supporter of Israel and spearheaded a bipartisan letter urging the U.N. to combat Hezbollah’s belligerent activities. A recent poll found Rep. Luria and her opponent deadlocked 45 to 45 percent among likely voters.
- Congresswoman Young Kim – Rep. Kim is a vocal supporter of the U.S.-Israel relationship who strongly opposes the BDS movement. Now, she’s locked in one of the tightest races in the country, in a district she flipped by just a one-point margin two years ago.
-
Congressman Don Bacon – Rep. Bacon has served in Nevada’s second district since 2016, and has sponsored numerous bills in support of the U.S.-Israel relationship in that time. In 2020, Rep. Bacon won his seat by just a 5-point margin, and he’s running in a swing district that Politico has labeled a “toss-up.”
-
Congresswoman Dina Titus - Earlier this year, Rep. Titus defeated a pro-BDS primary opponent, but she still faces a highly competitive general election in which MILLIONS of dollars are being spent in attack ads against her. Rep. Titus is a steadfast supporter of the U.S.-Israel relationship and has cosponsored numerous bills and resolutions to advance cooperation between the two countries.
