Hi John,
The midterm election is just a few days away, and the stakes are high for New York’s public schools, children and families.
Our public schools are facing new threats: devastating cuts to New York City public schools, looming threats of privatization, rising rates of student homelessness, and unaffordable child care. The outcome of Tuesday’s vote will impact our ability to fight for a better future for our children.
That's why I’ll be voting on the Working Families Party line. When you #VoteWFP, your vote counts just the same toward vote totals for all candidates — but you are sending a clear message to Albany that you value a progressive future where schools are fully funded and all students receive a quality education.
Through the Working Families Party, we’re able to push a progressive vision forward and support candidates who aren’t afraid to challenge the status quo. That’s why some of our biggest education champions have been elected with WFP’s endorsement.
Early voting is already underway. If you’ve voted already, thank you! If you haven’t yet cast your vote, you can find all the information you need about how and where you can vote here. Make your plan to vote on or before Tuesday, and make sure your friends and family have a plan to vote too.
Don’t wait! Vote for public education, and make your vote count for the future of our schools and our children.
In solidarity,
Jasmine Gripper
