John, with the midterms fast approaching, lies and conspiracy theories by extremists are promoting the unthinkable — that we won’t have free and fair elections.
They are targeting everything from the way votes are cast to the way those votes are counted. Extremists are threatening to intimidate voters, harass election officials and respond in ways similar to the January 6 insurrection if they don’t like the results.
We ask you to join ADL in confronting this challenge head-on and doing everything we can together to protect and respect the free elections that are at the core of our system of government. If U.S. democracy is undermined, our fundamental civil rights will be at risk and we cannot win in the fight against antisemitism. A robust democracy is essential for protecting Jews, other marginalized communities and everyone who lives here. And today our democracy is under threat.
Resources for Election Season
Our Never Is Now Summit on Antisemitism and Hate will be held on November 10, just two days after the midterms. Join us there — in person in NYC or online from around the world — for unmatched insights on the elections and the potential for violent extremism. Leaders like Congresswoman Liz Cheney and FBI Director Christopher Wray
and journalists and opinion columnists including Ruth Marcus, Eugene Robinson and Bret Stephens will all be weighing in on what are likely to be consequential results from this election. CLICK HERE to join us at Never Is Now.
ADL is a nonpartisan organization. We do not support any individual candidates for office. What we do support is the power of the ballot to protect all of us and our rights.
Whoever you support and whatever political positions you believe in, we urge you to get out and vote, and to stand up for the integrity of our democratic process.
Sincerely, |
