Team — we’re less than 100 hours out from Election Day, and I wanted to take a minute to share what your support has made possible during this consequential midterm election cycle. (That’s right. First I showed you our budget spreadsheets, and now I’m following up with how we’re spending our resources.)
The biggest investment we’ve made is in speaking directly to voters in key battleground secretary of state races: particularly paid advertising directed at persuading voters and raising candidate awareness.
We teamed up with the Democratic Association of Secretaries of State to identify specific ways we could help in Nevada and Arizona, and we’re targeting voters every day through digital and radio ads.
We’ve partnered with National Security Leaders For America — a group of retired military leaders who are as concerned about defending our democracy as we are — to find veterans in each state to speak about what's at stake in these critical elections. You can listen to our Arizona ad by Air Force veteran Jannine Mathis.
And we also have op-eds written by veteran leaders that are being printed in local papers in Minnesota, Michigan, Arizona, and Nevada. You can read one recently published in the Mesquite Local News in Nevada.
That’s just a sample of this mission-critical work, and I am so grateful to everyone who helped make it possible by supporting The American SOS Project. I know we talk a lot about the terrifying threats to our democracy, but this team didn’t just worry — we sprung into action.
In these last hours before Election Day, we are firing on all cylinders to reach voters about the candidates who will safeguard our democracy — and those who are seeking to destroy it. It’s not too late to help power this work across the finish line — if you can, please consider chipping in one last time.
Onward,
Amy
