G'day John,
While many conservative Australians held high hopes for Peter Dutton when he became opposition leader, he is failing to deliver, and they are being left clueless as to the Coalition’s position on many important issues.
This was the warning Senator Hanson delivered to the floundering Liberal leader following more than 150 days on the job. Urging him to be honest with Aussies about the Coalition’s position on the Voice, start holding Albanese to account, or join the long list of opposition leaders who failed to make an impact.
Senator Hanson wasn’t the only one with words of warning for hapless Liberal leadership this week. Mark Latham continues to hold the NSW government to account for the shocking failure of the state’s education system. With revelations that 50,000 Year 7 students in Australia start high school without being able to read properly!
And while it’s clear that the policies of the major parties are not working the same cannot be said for Sarah Game, One Nation’s upper house representative in South Australia.
Anyone who has been following Sarah’s efforts knows she has been hard at work on a number of issues including fighting against legislation to ensure South Australia didn’t implement a two-tiered court system based on race.
Surprise, surprise, turns out the major parties think this is racist.
Good to know that in these uncertain times some things never change.
That’s all from me this week. As always, we appreciate your feedback on the articles so let us know your thoughts.
Peter Brady.
