To defend democracy, we have to do democracy. And the election that’s just five days away is our best chance.

If you haven’t voted yet, take some time now to plan your trip to the polls. You can find your polling location and hours at IWillVote.com. Will you go in the morning, afternoon, or evening? How will you get there? Will you take anyone with you?

That last question is key: It’s not enough to vote ourselves this year. We must all pledge to have conversations about the importance of voting with our friends, families, and communities – and then help them to vote.

That’s because the stakes in this midterm election are higher than they’ve ever been. Democracy itself is on the line. At the NDRC, we’re doing everything we can to give it the best chance of succeeding by supporting pro-democracy candidates, protecting voting rights, and more.
