Republican extremism is reaching new levels, John.
Across the country, we’re seeing a rise in voter intimidation efforts. From drop box watchers to disinformation about voting and threats to election officials, it’s truly gotten out of hand.
It’s time for Congress to act by strengthening our voting rights protections to ensure our election officials and voters can do their democratic duties in peace and keep our elections fair and free.
Right here is OH-11, local officials unanimously approved an election interference ordinance to stop voter intimidation and protect our election workers. But with more than 200 election deniers on the ballot across the country, including here in Ohio, we must all take a stand to ensure our elections are free from intimidation and out of the hands of dangerous extremists.
It’s past time for Congress to take up the fight to protect our voting rights. Keeping election deniers out of office and holding our Democratic majority in Congress on November 8 will allow us to strengthen the Voting Rights Act and place new protections for the anti-democratic extremism we’re seeing today.
