I’m reaching out to ask for just $5. Here’s why:

When you fight for policies that put people above profit, corporate interests like Big Pharma and fossil fuel companies want nothing to do with you. That’s fine by me — I don’t accept a penny from corporate PACs because they stand in the way of our progress.

I also don’t spend a ton of time at fundraisers or on the phone with big donors — because that’s time I could spend working to pass policies like Medicare for All or universal school meals, meeting with community members in MN-05, or standing in solidarity with workers on the picket lines.

But this all means that small-dollar donations are especially important to the success of our campaign. Instead of getting high-dollar donations from just a handful of donors, we rely on tens of thousands of grassroots donations to help us get out the vote, support progressive candidates all across the country, and fight back against right-wing attacks.
