Hi JOHN,
With just a few days left in this race, I am fired up and ready to win on Tuesday and the momentum we have generated since winning the debates has been phenomenal. And the past week really summed up why it’s so important we defeat Andy Harris.
Before I give you the rundown, will you contribute to our campaign today to power our final days of grassroots organizing? Everything we raise goes right back out the door so we can reach more voters and win this election!
Okay, in a nutshell, here’s what Andy’s been up to the last few days, showing why there is such a clear choice in this race.
- Though he’s consistently taken the most extreme stance on abortion rights, during our debate he had the audacity to lie about his record in an attempt to moderate his views because he knows he’s out of step with Marylanders on this important issue. But then in a classic Andy Harris move, he just couldn’t keep himself from actually doubling down on the crazy and made wild accusations about women aborting pregnancies because they don’t like the gender of the baby. This is grossly offensive to all women.
- He sent out a homophobic mailer attacking me because he’s scared of our momentum in these final days.
- He was exposed as one of Congress’s strongest defenders of Hungary’s Viktor Orbán — an authoritarian, racist, anti-Semitic Putin apologist. An article in The New Republic called Andy “Orbán’s Biggest Fanboy.”
- He went completely off the rails at our candidate forum, refusing to explain his role in a White House meeting with Trump that sought to overturn the results of the 2020 election, demanding an audience member be removed, and barking at the moderator when he didn’t get his way.
And as usual, while I traveled the district meeting voters, he was nowhere to be found. Andy is a lethal combination of radical, dangerous, and just plain lazy. He doesn’t listen to us, he doesn’t deliver, and it’s past time for new representation.
