A Look Back at 2019!
At PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center, it’s our mission to provide information and resources that will have a positive impact on our amazing audience. This past year was one of remarkable growth, with schools, communities, businesses, and individuals taking steps to create a world without bullying. As the year comes to an end, let’s reflect on the change we made together.
Schools, communities, and individuals used PACER’s resources to make a positive impact:
- 6,973 individuals showed their support for bullying prevention by signing PACER’s online pledge
- 1,993 registrations received for All In, a free, year-long curriculum of classroom resources
to address and prevent bullying
- 372 nonprofits, organizations, and community groups became a Champion Against Bullying
- 32 new episodes released for the weekly video series, PACERTalks About Bullying
We held events here at PACER and shared resources for you to hold events in your own communities:
The world united together by celebrating campaigns with messages of kindness, acceptance, and inclusion:
- 13,500+ Unity Day posters distributed across the country
- 9,300+ official PACER bullying
prevention t-shirts were sold for National Bullying
Prevention Month and Unity Day
- 99% of Unity Day participants shared that it was useful in raising awareness of bullying prevention in their school or community
We continued to provide new and exciting resources to support those doing amazing work in bullying prevention, such as:
- 20-page comprehensive Unity Day guide that includes all the important things to know
about the event
- 2 new poster series to share the message of bullying prevention: a National Bullying Prevention Month series and a Teen Poster Series, created in partnership with Instagram
- 1,200+ Include Someone kits, created in partnership with Cartoon
Network’s Stop Bullying: Speak Up initiative, were
distributed around the country
- 15 students were featured in a brand new video for the “Students With Solutions” contest, a project designed for educators to engage their students around bullying prevention. The fall 2019 contest is in partnership with Planet Fitness’s Judgement Free Generation.
We would also like to extend a special thanks to everyone who supported this important issue and took action in their own community. Together, we can make the world a kinder, more inclusive, and more accepting place!
