Free election rides
The Denton County Transportation Authority (DCTA) is providing free rides to and from the polls on Election Day, Tuesday, November 8. To receive free rides all day, people won?t need any special documentation.
The promotion will be valid on the following DCTA services only:
* A-train Commuter Rail [ [link removed] ]
* Denton Connect Bus [ [link removed] ]
* University of North Texas (UNT) Campus Shuttles [ [link removed] ]
* GoZone [ [link removed] ]
*How to Find a Voting Location*
The State of Texas organizes election information and voting locations by county. Click the link for your county to find a convenient voting location.
* Collin County Election Information [ [link removed] ]?(Carrollton)
* Dallas County [ [link removed] ]?(Carrollton)
* Denton County [ [link removed] ]?(Denton, Lewisville, Highland Village, Carrollton)
Voting locations are open at various times during early voting and from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. on the day of the general election, November 8. If you are in line by 7 p.m. on Election Day, you will be allowed to vote. Check your county elections website for specific times.
Other DCTA services not listed are not included in the agency?s Election Day free ride promotion. In addition, DCTA?s promotion is not valid on Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) [ [link removed] ], Trinity Metro [ [link removed] ] and Trinity Railway Express (TRE) [ [link removed] ] services. Riders need to purchase appropriate fare if they plan to transfer for that portion of their trip.
