Playhouse Creatures Theatre Company, A is For, and the Pink House Fund invite you to join us for GRISWOLD: a benefit reading hosted in the historic Great Hall at The Cooper Union in New York City on November 11, 2022.

Written by Angela J. Davis, GRISWOLD recounts the landmark – and increasingly relevant – Supreme Court case Griswold v. Connecticut which establishes a right of sexual privacy, and directly paves the way for other guarantees of liberty, including, on the 6Oth anniversary of the Griswold case, the right of same-sex couples to marry.

GRISWOLD was the first prize winner of the Second Annual A is For Playwriting Contest, and was featured in our online ONE ACT Festival this past February. We are so excited to partner with the Playhouse Creatures Theatre Company to bring this play to the live stage.

The evening stars Annette Bening in the title role of Estelle Griswold, and Sean Carvajal. Further casting to be announced.

All event proceeds will benefit A is For and The Pink House Fund in the fight to protect privacy and reproductive rights.
