Daylight Savings time begins on Sunday, Nov. 6 at 2 a.m. Turn your clocks back one hour to local standard time before you go to bed on Saturday, Nov. 5.

This is also a great time to change batteries on your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors and make sure any home fire extinguishers are in working order.?

Your vote counts

Early voting at Village Hall for the General Election ends today at 7 p.m., but continues through Monday, Nov. 7 at the Kendall County Government Building, 111 Fox Street, Yorkville.?

Polls will be open for the General Election on Tuesday, Nov. 8 from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Before you head out to vote, take a moment to doublecheck your precinct and polling place online?or call Kendall County at 630-553-4105.

There's less than 30 days until the Oswego Christmas Walk presented by Allied First Bank on Friday, Dec. 2!

Tomorrow, Nov. 4, is the last day for businesses and organizations applications to host a booth at this beloved holiday event. Get the details and apply.?

Does your high school student need volunteer hours to graduate? We're looking for Christmas Walk volunteers on Friday, Dec. 2 for two different shifts, 4 to 6 p.m. and 6 to 8:30 p.m. Volunteers will receive a meal from Chick-Fil-A and a long-sleeved Christmas Walk T-shirt. Fall Clean-up coming soon

Oswego's free Fall Clean-up Collection takes place the week of Nov. 14 on your regularly scheduled garbage day. Now is your chance to dispose of extra household garbage, yard waste and bulk items.

Put out all items by 6 a.m. on your collection day. Use additional containers and plastic bags for household waste.?Fill 30-lbs Kraft paper bags with yard waste; stickers are not needed. Large items such as furniture, exercise equipment, and rugs will be collected.?Hazardous waste, appliances, TVs, or other electronics will not be collected.?Visit the Village's?Garbage/Recycling page?for more information.
