Hi friends,

It’s Tony, the President of Stand with Parkland. I know this is a busy time of year, but I wanted to reach out ahead of Giving Tuesday.

Stand With Parkland may not be as flashy as other organizations: we don’t engage in partisan bickering or political games. Instead, we are inside the offices of elected leaders, successfully advocating for laws and policies that help keep students and teachers safe. Focusing on issues and answers and producing positive results can make fundraising a little difficult sometimes. We usually have our heads down, planning meetings with elected officials across the political spectrum or putting together national and community school safety resources.

We’re focused on actually getting things done – but we need your support to continue this work and make your voice heard.

That’s why I’m asking you to help us get a head start on our Giving Tuesday fundraising – will you pitch in $50, $25, or even $10 to set us up for success next year? As many of you know, the other Parkland families and I first founded this group in the aftermath of the Parkland massacre. We wanted to do everything we could to ensure no more families have to experience the same kind of tragic loss that we did ever again.

Since day one, we’ve been laser-focused on one mission: making our schools and communities safer. Reaching across political divides, we have worked with policy makers and politicians around the country, from members of state houses to US Senators and Presidents, to make whatever progress we can toward safer schools and less mass violence.

And we’ve delivered. This summer, we met with US Education Secretary Cardona (pictured above, center). And coming up, we’re helping to plan the first National Summit on K-12 School Safety and Security Summit from the Federal School Safety Clearinghouse and SchoolSafety.gov, running November 1st through November 3rd.

From securing funding for expanded campus security measures and mental health resources in our schools, to red flag laws and increased safety regulations on firearms, our hard work has contributed to some of the most crucial legislation tackling safety and firearm violence in America in years. But our work does not stop here, and I need your help to keep this up.

We have a big fundraising hurdle to clear this year with so much attention on the midterms. And while that's as important as ever, this movement goes beyond any election cycle. There will be new members of Congress that will need to learn how vital it is to protect America’s schools. The fight to prevent violence in our schools is always ongoing, so we can’t afford to slow down.

Will you help us get started on our $10,000 fundraising goal for this Giving Tuesday? [[link removed]] Anything you give is a huge help for our movement – we're parents, spouses, and family members who are dedicated to ensuring that no other family has to endure the same pain we've endured. We're taking our grief and turning it into something positive by making America's schools safer, and I hope you will support us.

Thank you so much for your time and your help, friends. We couldn’t do this without you.
