Dear Supporter,

Organised by SPUC, the annual Torchlight Procession through Glasgow city centre is a tradition that goes back some years now. This year's procession took place on Thursday 27th October and was, once again, attended by pro-lifers in their hundreds. You can watch the highlights video above to see this!

This year's procession marked exactly 55 years to the day since the 1967 Abortion Act was passed. Although, for this reason, the event is always tinged with sadness, this sadness was offset by the hope that the recent overturning of Roe vs Wade in the US should give us all. 

The Torchlight Procession began with the public praying of the Rosary. Attendees then processed - with candles in hand - from George Square to St Andrew's Catholic Cathedral, where several priests joined Fr Edward Toner in concelebrating Mass. Fr Toner gave a rousing homily, and CEO, John Deighan, offered similar hope with his closing remarks.
