OCYR GOTV Weekend Walk 11/5 We are closing in on the end of election season, and now is the time to make a final push towards victory this fall. Our final OCYR deployment will be in support of Scott Baugh in CA-47 to defeat Katie Porter. This will take place on GOTV Weekend on Saturday November 5th at 10am. The walk will be staged from Scott Baugh's Newport Beach headquarters, and we'll be walking in southern Irvine in support of Scott Baugh for Congress, Pat Bates for OC Supervisor, Steven Choi for Assembly, and Anthony Kuo and John Park for Irvine City Council! Free lunch and drinks will be provided by the campaign! We will also be having a Saturday night post-canvass social at Matador Cantina in Fullerton at 5:30pm. We'll be joined by our friends from the Los Angeles Young Republicans and the San Bernardino Young Republicans, who will be finishing walk days of their own as well. We hope to see many of you there as we watch the results! On Thursday December 8th, at 5:30pm the World Affairs Council will be hosting their monthly event at Avenue of the Arts Costa Mesa. The topic in discussion for this event will be China, and the impact of their belligerence on their rise as a world power. Susan L. Shirk, the Chair of the 21st Century China Center at UCSD will be the special guest speaker, discussing the current state of China's diplomatic relations.
