Hi John.

You may have heard me say this before: My job is to serve everyone, regardless of party.

I say it because it’s an incredibly important principle that guides all of my work. That’s everything from my bipartisan bills in the House, to helping folks with their veterans’ benefits, to listening to your concerns and answering your messages.

Whether we agree on every issue or not is beside the point. Everyone deserves a government that works for them – not just for big corporations, special interests, or the extremes of either party.

So today, I wanted to share a special update to demonstrate what serving every person and every corner of our district actually looks like.

Please click here to see our new interactive Google map. You can see where we’ve delivered investments to create jobs, listened to Kansans, helped local business owners, and much more – right in your own neighborhood.

I know what it means to struggle while Washington seems out of touch. I was raised by a single mom. I worked multiple jobs to put myself through college and am still paying off my student loans.

I’m serving in the U.S. House of Representatives to bring a new generation of leadership to Washington. Representatives should be here to listen and serve everyone in the community however they can.

Here are just some examples from our new map on how we’re making a difference:

Investing in K-68 Expansion in Louisburg: As Vice Chair of the Infrastructure Committee, I worked with Republicans and Democrats to pass a Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. Now we’re seeing the results. That includes modernizing U.S. 69 in Overland Park and replacing lead pipes in Olathe. It’s also supporting the K-68 four lane highway expansion in Louisburg. Every corner of our district – urban, suburban, and rural – deserves modern infrastructure.

Made in Kansas: A&K Railroad Materials in Kansas City, Kansas. After being selected to serve as a key negotiator to finalize a major supply chain bill, I visited with Kansas manufacturers to hear directly about their needs – including A&K Railroad Materials in KCK. I was later worked with Republicans and Democrats to pass the CHIPS and Science Act into law. It’s a major step forward so we can make more products and jobs here in Kansas, not China.

Securing Funding for the Upper Turkey Creek Levee Project in Merriam. I helped secure federal support for the Upper Turkey Creek flood mitigation project. When completed, the levee will protect hundreds of homes and over 80 businesses in Merriam, improving quality of life and attracting additional investment.

Pop Up Offices in Spring Hill. My team is here to help folks who are having issues with the federal government. That’s everything from Social Security issues, to backlogged veterans’ benefits, to stalled tax refunds, and more. To better serve people everywhere, my team goes to locations throughout the district as part of our Pop Up office program so folks can get help in their own neighborhoods. We’ve now helped recover more than $11.4 million for local taxpayers and helped more than 4,000 hardworking Kansans.

Everyone deserves representation that listens to them, works hard, and serves their entire community.

That’s why we were honored to earn a Democracy Award from the nonpartisan Congressional Management Foundation for our work to stay connected and accountable to the community. It’s why we continually ask for your feedback in surveys and have processed more than 400,000 of your messages. It’s why we regularly connect folks with any resources that we can to help with gas, groceries, and other higher prices.

I know a lot of folks are frustrated with political games and partisanship. But I know if we keep listening to each other and finding common ground, we can build a better future. Anything is possible when Kansas work together.

Please feel free to forward this message to anyone you know. And if you have any questions or would like to contact me, you can click here.

My warmest regards,
