The reason this goal is so important is because the only way Mandela will raise what is required to win this election is from lots of people chipping in what they can.

There are two reasons we've set this goal:

Lots of donations from people contributing what they can is currently the primary source of funding for our campaign.

Republican super PACs have spent obscene amounts of money to try to defeat Mandela, and we desperately need to fight back in these final days.

If we win tomorrow, Democrats will be in a strong position to expand the Senate majority. But if we lose...then Republicans will likely take back control of the Senate.

Those are the stakes of this race, which is why we are asking:
