Dear John,
By this time next week, we’ll know most of the election results. There’s still time to make a difference in the midterms by getting the word out to help more people have access to the ballot box!
Voter ID laws are confusing and scare eligible voters away from the voting booth. As I was quoted in a recent article, “What we know through the feedback that we get from the communities we serve is that these laws confuse voters, they intimidate them, and they deter them from casting a ballot.”
You can join us right now in dispelling that confusion and intimidation!
Tell your friends and family to do an ID check before they go vote, to make sure they have what they need. Wherever they live, our interactive State Voter ID Rules page will help them verify they have what they need to vote with confidence. From that page, they can download and print state-specific lists of acceptable IDs for voting that they can take with them to polling places in case they run into problems.
