As we approach the end of the year, Creative Commons is celebrating its 20th Anniversary with a series of events taking place around the world π, including an in-person event in San Francisco on 17 November ([link removed]) . Join us in person or virtually for a celebration of the open commons.

As part of Creative Commonsβ key strategic goal of Better Sharing, last week we joined six other organizations spanning the globe to launch the Movement for a Better Internet ([link removed]) , a diverse community of advocates, activists, academics, and civil society groups working together to promote policies that create a better internet for people everywhere. The movement is a collaborative effort seeking to drive policy change based on a public interest vision for an internet that benefits us all.

** CC Certificate: Alumni interview with Jennifer Miller ([link removed])

ποΈ In this blog post we interviewed Jennifer Miller, a graduate of the CC Certificate for Educators, to discuss her career and how the CC Certificate training has impacted it. Jennifer has extensive experience in teaching and researching public policy and management

* π« Last week marked 30 years of the UNESCO Memory of the World Program. CC commends the program for its successes ([link removed]) in improving preservation and access to documentary heritage from GLAMs worldwide.
