McKesson profit more than triples in fiscal Q2 | SiteOne Landscape Supply posts 18% jump in Q3 revenue | Owens & Minor earns $12.5M in Q3 as Patient Direct booms
McKesson earned $926 million in its fiscal second quarter, more than three times the $267 million it earned in the year-ago period. The company had quarterly revenue of $70.16 billion, up 5.4% from $66.58 billion.
SiteOne Landscape Supply had third-quarter revenue of $1.1 billion, up 18% from $936.4 million a year ago. The distributor reported quarterly profit of $73.3 million, down from $80 million in the year-ago period.
Owens & Minor earned $12.5 million in the third quarter on $2.5 billion in sales. Revenue from the company's Patient Direct segment grew by 142% to $594 million following the March acquisition of Apria.

Truckload carriers have raised salaries this year, and unfilled driver jobs have decreased 4% as a result to 78,000, but a driver shortage is likely to persist as the workforce ages and as freight demand increases. Industry experts expect the shortage to surpass 160,000 jobs by 2031 if no changes are made.
