Dear friends,
After two years of waiting, I can now confirm the Dennis Prager’s 2023 listener cruise! Vienna, Austria to Bucharest, Romania. The dates are May 31–June 13, 2023.
All of our listener cruises have been special, and I’ve enjoyed them enormously, but this cruise will be unique because it’s the cruise experience reborn. There were times in the last couple of years when I thought we’d never cruise again. But we’re back! And this one will be all the greater for the waiting.
We tried to schedule cruises twice. Both times the cruise was canceled by the cruise line. Not this time. We’ve made a contractual arrangement with the cruise line to operate with no vaccine, no mask, and no testing mandates. So, if you haven’t been vaxed (I haven’t), no problem. And if you have been vaxed, that’s fine, too. It’s not an issue either way.
Once again we have chartered the entire riverboat. That means everyone on the boat will belong to our group and we will be able to host cocktail parties and lectures at our own discretion (We have a few surprises for you!). As many of you have heard me mention on previous trips, the people you will meet are exceptional folks (of course, they are because you’re one of them). Nothing gives me more satisfaction than to hear about the friendships made during these trips. I promise they will happen.
We have chartered AmaWaterways’ Ama Bella. We’ve built in a 3-night pre-cruise package in Vienna (very possibly the most beautiful city in Europe), a 2-night stay in Budapest (one of the most exciting cities in Europe), where we will then cruise down the Danube River to Bucharest (one of the most interesting cities in Europe).
This cruise itinerary features charming river towns not many people, myself included, have been to. In all, we will be visiting five different countries that are incredibly rich in history and culture.
Although the ship has the capacity to hold 160 guests, we are limiting the number to 140 to keep it as intimate as possible. What makes AmaBella so special is the crew. Many of them are from the local cities and towns we visit. You’ll marvel at how dedicated each and every member is at making certain your every need is met.
And—I almost forget to mention—I’ll be giving talks throughout the trip.
