Leora Levy Responds to 37-year Career Politician Dick Blumenthal’s Numerous Debate Gaffes

GREENWICH, CT - Last night Republican challenger and political outsider Leora Levy won her debate against 37-year career politician Dick Blumenthal. Levy, a first time candidate running for U.S. Senate, highlighted her opponent’s out-of-touch positions regarding the economy, energy independence, and anti-police sentiments.

From the debate:

  • Proving to voters that he does not understand the day-to-day struggles Americans are facing with rising food and energy costs, Blumenthal graded the economy as ‘ongoing’
  • Blumenthal defended his praise for Joe Biden’s Green Dream Agenda and confirmed Leora’s explanation of energy supply chain economics, saying ‘keystone is a distraction’ and that it ‘never would have delivered any product’, but was ‘simply to export it abroad’
  • Blumenthal defended his attendance at multiple rallies where they called to defund the police as well as his position on systemic reform for police

Calling out Blumenthal for his out-of-touch rubber stamp on Joe Biden and his party’s radical policy positions, Leora Levy issued the following statement.

“Just like my opponent’s inability to hide from the fact that he is a consistent rubber stamp for Joe Biden’s failed agenda, Dick Blumenthal was unable to hide his radical policy positions from voters at last night’s debate. All Americans are hurting on account of his vote for trillions of dollars in wasteful government spending, co-signing Biden’s decision to end the Keystone Pipeline, and rising crime on account of his vilification of Connecticut’s law enforcement officers. As a result, life is unaffordable, energy costs continue to rise with the threat of potential winter blackouts, and crime is surging nation-wide. Voters from both sides of the aisle are ready for change and after 37-years in public office will retire Blumenthal on November 8.”

About Leora

I am running to take on the far-left whose policies will make our country look more like the Communist Cuba my family and I escaped in 1960 than the United States we have all known and loved. I am running for Senate to lead the fight for freedom. Joe Biden isn't on the ballot in November, but his policies are. The way to beat back Biden is to beat Dick Blumenthal, and I am the political outsider who can get it done.
