Dear Free Software Supporter,

Have you submitted a talk for LibrePlanet 2023 yet? For those unsure
if they can make it to the event, we have now set the dates: **March
18 & 19, 2023**! We have also extended the Call for Sessions (CfS) for
another three weeks, until Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at 10:00 EST
(15:00 UTC). This gives you the chance to make sure that you're a part
of LibrePlanet 2023: Charting the Course.

* **[LibrePlanet 2023: Charting the Course][1] will be held March 18-19, 2023**

This year's LibrePlanet is already in its fifteenth edition. It is
organized by the Free Software Foundation (FSF), in conjunction with
the LibrePlanet committee, which consists of a team of excited
volunteers, and we all look forward to hosting an outstanding
celebration of fifteen years of LibrePlanet. Jason Self, one of our
committee members, describes LibrePlanet in an enthusiastic,
forward-looking blog post as ["a great way to recharge your free
software batteries each year."][2]

* **[Submit your session!][3]**

The theme of LibrePlanet 2023 is "Charting the Course." Submit a
session, and, as Jason says, be "[at the forefront of [...]
determining the best course to take for the advancement of software
freedom][2]." You will have a marvelous audience to discuss with. We
are looking forward to presenting a fun, interactive, and varied
LibrePlanet schedule with a little bit of everything, so if you have a
nice idea, we encourage you to submit your session regardless of your
level of experience!

### Need help preparing your talk proposal?

If you need advice or encouragement as you prepare your talk proposal,
we're here to help! We will host one more #libreplanet IRC
(Libera.Chat) LibrePlanet Call for Sessions office hours with FSF
staff and LibrePlanet committee members. Join us on Thursday, November
10 from 13:00 to 14:00 EST (18:00 to 19:00 UTC)

### FSF Award nominations still open until November 30

We are also still soliciting [Free Software Award][4] nominations.
Show those community members and projects that you appreciate their
vital work by nominating them for an award in one of three categories:
the [**Award for the Advancement of Free Software**][5], the [**Award
for Projects of Social Benefit**][6], or the [**Award for Outstanding
New Free Software Contributor**][7]. Don't assume that someone else
will nominate your chosen nominees -- the committee *does* take into
account the amount of times a project or person is nominated.
