John – With less than one week until Election Day, I wanted to take a moment to answer some of the questions I’ve heard on the campaign trail (and in my inbox!).

Is Crapo really that bad?

Mike Crapo has been our Senator for nearly a quarter of a century, and he exposes his priorities every time he votes – against protecting Social Security, against lowering prescription drug prices, against protecting our veterans, and so much more.

Crapo consistently votes in near lockstep with the most radical factions of the GOP – even when siding with Democrats would be better for the people of Idaho.

In their recent endorsement of me, the largest paper in the state of Idaho noted this:

A graphic featuring a quote from the Idaho Statesman’s endorsement of David Roth for U.S. Senate, which reads: “And Roth has something Crapo long ago left behind: a deep connection to Idaho and the lives of its everyday citizens.”

The editors of the Idaho Statesman see it, and so do the voters I’ve met all across our beautiful state. Voters are ready for change.

Will my contribution do any good at this point?

Absolutely it will! Only a fraction of registered voters have already cast their ballots, and we know that many voters decide who to vote for – or whether to vote at all – in the last few days of an election.

That means we still have time to reach voters who are on the fence and let them know they don’t have to keep voting for a career politician swimming in special interest money. They have a real choice this year – a fellow Idahoan who will always have the best interests of Idaho at heart.

Is there any point to supporting a Democrat in a red state?

Listen, this is a tough race, I won’t deny that. But the only reason Idaho gets written off as a “red state” is because national Democrats won’t fight for a victory here.

National Democrats won’t pour millions of dollars into our race like other states, so we have to build our own infrastructure to win. And that’s what your contributions support.

Idaho is my home. I grew up here. I’m raising my sons here. And I’ve been fighting for our community nearly all of my life.

I’m running to win and flip this U.S. Senate seat, but no matter what happens on November 8th, I’m building the organizing infrastructure we need for long-term success in this state.

We have six days left to reach every voter we can, and we fell just $2,254 short of our GOTV goal at the end of October. Can you pitch in $100, $50, or any amount now to help us catch up?

If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:

I knew this was a tough fight when I got into this race, but that didn’t stop me. Idaho deserves better, and I am running to serve.

Let’s win this.

- David

David Roth is a single, gay dad running to flip a U.S. Senate seat in Idaho. His opponent is an extremist “pro-life” Republican who’s been in politics for 37 years. David stepped up to serve the state that has been his home most of his life, where he is now raising his two young sons, because every state is worth fighting for. There has never been an openly gay man elected to the U.S. Senate. Help us make history this year. Pitch in now to flip this seat and send David to D.C.
