[1]Mark Kelly for Senate

Hi everybody — this is Ted Danson from Cheers, Becker, and a few other shows and films over the years.

I’ll keep this pretty short: Mark Kelly needs our help. If you can afford it, any donation will make a big difference. But as a bonus, I’ve got a story for you if you can stick around for a minute.

I guess I’ve had an activist streak ever since I was a kid. My dad was a scientist at Northern Arizona University, and one of his colleagues was a geologist named Bill Breed. Arizona is spectacularly beautiful, and Bill thought there were too many billboards ruining the scenery. So he’d take a friend and me out in his little Volkswagen, maybe 10 or 11 o’clock at night, and we’d go chop them down. Took down quite a few, actually.

Eventually my dad found out though, because we left up a billboard for a museum. Specifically, the museum at NAU.

Now, to be clear, I don’t want anyone going out and chopping down billboards. This was a story, not advice. There are other ways to make a difference, and most of them do not involve axes.

In fact, I know of a very, very good way. So, once more:

Can I count on you to make a contribution to Mark Kelly’s re-election campaign?

Mark’s fighting to protect Arizona (including the scenery) every day, and he needs all the help we can give. If you can afford it, I’d certainly appreciate it.

Thanks very much.

Ted
