John – it’s only been one year since Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick stunned election watchers and pulled off one of the most exciting victories I have ever seen.
It would take a hand recount and another 10 days before we knew for certain, but one year ago today, Sheila won the special election Democratic primary to represent FL-20 in Congress.
Brand New Congress was the only national organization that backed Sheila’s campaign from the beginning of last year’s special election. And that support paid off when she won her primary by just FIVE VOTES before going on to win in the January General Election.
