It has not been an easy year for my family to navigate everything thrown in our path, and even through the demanding schedule of the campaign, I could always call on my dad to help me navigate the highs and lows of life. He's still the same dad he always has been; there to provide advice, support, a listening ear, and the occasional medical and parental advice.
Now, just days out from the election, I find myself excited and incredibly proud of what my father has been able to accomplish. Aside from a war chest and a huge political party apparatus, he has what should be deemed more important in the political sphere:
He has thousands of people who met him at one or more of his events.
He has thousands of emails he has responded to, providing his position on vital issues from people in the district.
He has thousands of phone calls that he has made to people with questions, thoughts, wonderings, or ideas to share.
He has stayed in countless hotels throughout the district and driven many miles, constantly texting the family when he arrives home late at night after campaign events.
He has personally helped craft just about every part of the campaign.
And, what he probably cares about the most, he has a proud family - proud of his conduct throughout the campaign. We love him for his passion and dedication.
I am excited to be back in my hometown of Marquette for election day. I will be there with my daughter, and we will be helping out with the campaign however we can in those final days.
She's excited to support Grandpa Bob, and I am proud to be knocking on doors for my dad. He is the type of person I would want to represent my family and me, not because he is my dad, but because he has shown he knows what it means to be a leader. He is dedicated to service and true representation.
Can we count on your support to carry us to the finish line? We need to continue our fundraising momentum to complete the final projects of the campaign.
Thank you!
