Dear Friend,

Rep. Katie Porter and her whiteboard of justice represent what good
government is all about -- championing people and holding the wealthy and
powerful accountable. Her race against Republican Scott Baugh is one of
the clearest choices on the ballot, and we need to make sure every voter
in her new district knows that. It's a no-brainer, but it's not a shoo-in.

The headlines say it all:

The Wall Street Journal: “California's Rep. Porter at Increasing Risk of
Losing Seat”(1)

The Hill: “Cook Report shifts 10 Biden-won House districts toward GOP”(2)

Business Insider: “Katie Porter could lose California seat as race is
rated a 'toss-up'”(3)

The polls are not looking good for Rep. Porter, but we know this race is
up to the voters, not the polls.

That's why we needs to fund a last-minute expansion of our
get-out-the-vote effort in Rep. Porter's district. Rep. Porter has
defeated Scott Baugh before, and we know she can do it again -- but if we
do everything in our power to help her win.

and help power our effort in Rep. Porter’s district, ensuring that we
don't lose the House to MAGA radicals?

In the two years since Rep. Porter last faced Baugh -- a Trumpets who
wants to ban same-sex marriage, force people to give birth, and cut Social
Security -- California has undergone extensive redistricting.

And now Rep. Porter is running in a district, California’s 47th, where
hundreds of thousands of residents -- who include some of the wealthiest
people in California -- have never seen her name on the ballot.

Of course, we all hoped that we had buried Orange County’s Republican past
in 2018, when Rep. Porter led progressives in taking every seat in the
county. But since 2020, Trump-endorsed Republicans have already won back
two of the O.C.’s seven congressional seats.

We just cannot let them take Rep. Porter’s seat, too.

That’s why we’re urgently writing to you today with an important question.

[ [link removed] ]Will you donate $5 today to help ensure that next
Tuesday, Katie Porter defies the polls-obsessed media and helps
progressives retain the gains we made in Orange County?

Let's keep Rep. Porter and her whiteboard of justice working for all of
us.

Yours in the fight for a progressive future,

Irene, along with Angela, Annie, Isidra, Jay, Lindsay, Mai, Mai, Raquel,
and Scottie (and the rest of the Courage PAC team)
