, John,
We just got breaking news that National Journal moved our race up in their Hotline power rankings.
They say North Carolina is officially Democrats’ second-best pickup opportunity, and we’re one of the five seats most likely to flip in the entire country.
This is our chance to expand the majority. Please split a $25 donation between my campaign and Valerie Foushee to keep up our momentum.

Here’s what the National Journal said about our race:
"Republican Rep. Ted Budd and former state Supreme Court Chief Justice Cheri Beasley have been locked in a neck-and-neck battle for months in a race that’s largely gone under the radar.”
North Carolina is not just in play — our campaign is on the rise. National pundits are waking up to the fact that North Carolina is flippable as our grassroots campaign continues to defy the odds.
This is no accident. This is because of all that grassroots supporters like you have helped us accomplish.
I’ve won statewide twice before — even in a tough midterm like 2014, and together we can finish strong and ensure North Carolina has the representation it deserves.
But I need your support to do it. With just 6 days until Election Day, can you split a donation between my campaign and Valerie Foushee to help expand our majority? Just $25 can help be the difference between winning and losing come November 8th. This couldn’t be more important.

There’s no letting up now. Our historic victory is within reach, but we need to finish strong.
Thank you for believing in me and my fight for every North Carolinian — and a brighter future where each and every person has the opportunity to thrive.
