While continuing to price gouge families at the pump, Big Oil companies
are reporting some astounding profits.
From July-September of this year:
* Valero made $2.82 billion in profits, a 500% boost in just one year.
* Exxon’s profit of nearly $20 billion was a record for any quarter.
* Shell made $9.5 billion in profits. That’s more than twice what they
made in the third quarter of last year.
The House passed my bill to hold Big Oil companies accountable for ripping
off consumers in May. The Senate needs to act so we can actually crack
down on this price gouging.
Voters have a choice to make. Republicans are bought and paid for by Big
Oil companies and will enable them to keep price gouging and polluting.
I’ll always stand up to Big Oil and call them out on their BS. But I need
your help to stay in Congress. I’m facing my toughest reelection yet and
our race was just ranked a “toss-up” by the Cook Political Report.
