What's On In November?
Standing Above The Clouds (2021, dir. Jalena Keane-Lee)
You flip the calendar over, and do a double take. November, already? Where did 2022 go? Wasn't summer just yesterday? Before you panic, POV invites you to take a breath, and celebrate narrative abundance with another edition of our spirited, deeply human nonfiction films.

Some highlights:
* Native American Heritage Month ([link removed]) begins with perennial favorites Water Warriors ([link removed]) and Standing Above the Clouds ([link removed]) that portray indigenous environmental activism as well as stirring personal statements from America ReFramed ([link removed]) that challenge our assumptions about nation, blood, and kinship.

* Trans Awareness Month ([link removed]) honors, celebrates, and advocates for the artistic visions of transgender and gender diverse storytelling including Angelo Madsen Minaxโ€™s North By Current ([link removed]) , an award-winning meditation on faith, family, and grief from Season 34, along with Little Miss Westie ([link removed]) and Jack & Yaya ([link removed]) , two popular coming of age portraits.

* POV Shorts Season 5 ([link removed]) premieres on November 7th with Shut Up and Paint ([link removed]) .

* Season 35 continues on November 21st with the broadcast premiere of Midwives ([link removed] ) , winner of the 2022 Excellence In Veritรฉ Filmmaking World Cinema Documentary Special Jury Award at Sundance.

The time to stream is now on pov.org ([link removed]) and the PBS app ([link removed]) .

After you watch, we'd also love to hear from you! Send us your thoughts, shoutouts, and ideas for future programming at [email protected].
