As part of the reading of the official verdict in the case against the Parkland shooter, the families of those stolen in the massacre at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School FINALLY got to tell the killer what they really think -- and their stories are stark reminders of EXACTLY what we’re fighting for.
Remember when Republicans complain about crime, they are the ones that allow guns to flood into our towns and cities.
In Florida alone, Republicans have implemented legislation that loosens restrictions on gun ownership and carrying, while violent crimes involving guns have increased 20% in the state from 2019 to 2020.
Cowardly NRA-beholden politicians like Ron DeSantis would rather turn a blind eye to the bloodshed and block aid for impacted communities than take any kind of action -- but we can’t let ANYONE forget exactly what the dangerous inaction on gun safety measures by Republicans has caused. Listen to the stories of the Parkland families, vote in honor of all victims of gun violence, and then chip in $17 in honor of the 17 lives stolen from us at Parkland to help us oust lawmakers who refuse to take action and elect gun safety champions dedicated to banning assault weapons.
