LOOKING BACK AT 2019
As 2019 comes to an end, it’s time to look back at some of the RJC’s greatest hits of the year and look ahead to what’s in store for 2020.
The highlight of the year was our Annual Leadership Meeting in Las Vegas, where President Donald Trump gave a rousing address to an audience of over 2,000 Jewish Republicans. That same day, RJC leaders welcomed Vice President Mike Pence to the stage, as well as a terrific group of other speakers. Read all about it and see the photos here <[link removed]>; you can watch videos of the speakers here <[link removed]>.
Don’t miss the video of our national chairman, Sen. Norm Coleman, delivering his version of “Dayenu <[link removed]>” and listing all the great things that President Trump has done for Jewish Americans and for the state of Israel.

Our grassroots events this year have covered a wide range of speakers and topics, with a focus on national security, the danger of a nuclear Iran, our relationship with Israel, and the threats facing Israel and our community.
We were honored to host two fantastic events with Speaker Newt Gingrich, in Los Angeles in May and in Florida in November. Speaker Gingrich talked about what’s at stake in the 2020 elections and what the elections mean for the American Jewish community. The Palm Beach Post covered the event <[link removed]>.
In addition, many RJC members across the country had the opportunity to meet with their state senators and representatives, state GOP leaders, and candidates for office at local RJC events.
The RJC was loud and proud in 2019, holding Democrats accountable for anti-Semitic and anti-Israel statements and actions and praising President Trump for his strong pro-Israel actions this year, including:
• Announcing that the US recognizes Israel’s sovereignty over the Golan Heights;
• Reversing the Obama administration policy on Israeli settlements, declaring that Israeli civilian settlements are not inherently illegal under international law;
• And extending the protections of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 to Jewish students facing anti-Semitism on college campuses.

Another highlight of the year was the release of our first digital ad of the 2020 campaign cycle in November, with a $50,000 buy on Facebook, YouTube and other media. The ad, called “Shanda <[link removed]>,” showed how the radical Left has taken the reins of the Democratic Party and what that means for the American Jewish community.
<[link removed]>
“Shanda <[link removed]>” is the first ad in our aggressive $10 million campaign to bring Jewish voters to the GOP in 2020.
We’re also preparing our ground game and hiring extra staff to run our grassroots outreach efforts. We're preparing to enlist thousands of volunteers to work the phones and knock on doors in key battleground states to get out the Jewish vote for President Trump and Republicans running for Senate and House.
